Vede que perigosas seguranças, Que não temo contrastes nem mudanças Andando em bravo mar, perdido o lenho Mas, conquanto não pode haver desgosto Onde esperança falta, lá me esconde Amor um mal, que mata e não se vê; Que Days há que na alma me tem posto Um não sei o quê, que nasce não sei onde Vem não sei como, e doi não sei porquê. Scene inspired by the sonnet "Busque Amor novas artes, novo engenho" by Luís Vaz de Camões. On the left upper corner of the paper there is an embossed inscription "José Pedro M. Barata Arquitecto". This etching was a donation made by the Architect José Pedro Martins Barata to the FBAUL. Private edition, not numbered and without indication of the destruction of the matrix.
